The 2023-24 AC Milan season was head coach Stefano Piolo's fifith and final campaign with the club, placing second in the league behind Champions, and rivals, Inter Milan. Failing to move beyond the group stages of the Champions League having been potted into the seasons "Group of Death", I Rossoneri moved into the Europa League, making it to the quarter-finals before being knocked out by Roma. The season also saw the departure of staple goalscorer Olivier Giroud after three seasons - finishing with 23 goal involvements in his final Serie A campaign
