Notes - Long-sleeved third shirt worn as worn when José Mourinho looked to build on the Europa League success of the previous campaign but fell short in bringing Premier League and Champions League glory back to Old Trafford. The side could only manage a second place finish in the league and crashed out of the Champions League in the Round of 16 against Sevilla. This was part of a competition run by adidas to design the kit and they opted for one featuring a graphic of the United Trinity statues
